The travelinsurance.co.uk brand had been languishing for some time and was in dire need of some TLC. As part of a push to make this brand profitable again, I was asked to come up with a fresh brand identity. The new brand needed to embody the simplicity and directness of the brand, but would be aimed at a younger market.

I came up with a bold new colour palette and simple, clean wordmark to help distinguish them from their competitors.

I also created a set of brand guidelines encompassing every aspect of the brand from brand values to appropriate photography and iconography.

Following the development of a new brand identity, I was asked to develop a full set of visuals for the static sites, and guide the development team in implementing the new identity on the quote and sales pages, as well as helping to evolve the user experience by re-evaluating some of the more complex steps in our quote journey.

As the site was going to be content managed it needed to be easily disassembled into components for the CMS, to enable the marketing team to build their own landing pages where necessary.

I worked with the front-end developer to design a site that worked from both a visual and practical perspective, fulfilling both the user’s needs and those of the business.
